The Mediterranean region is a cradle of perfumery. Indeed, Grasse is considered to be the world capital of this activity since the 16th century. In other words, we can no longer count the number of creative geniuses who have put their bags in this place. Like many others, Harry Frémont comes from this place full of smells. A look back at his incredible journey that brought him to the highest peak in perfumery …
The beginnings of Harry Frémont
Harry Frémont was born in Cannes and, as such, very early on bathed in multiple smells. After all, how can you not appreciate the scent when you come from a region laden with fields of flowers, shaken by sea spray and resting on mineral soil? Thus, he oriented his schooling in this direction and very early on integrated the prestigious higher school IISIPCA, the Higher International Institute of Perfume, Cosmetics and Food Aromatics. This forced him to leave his native land to go to Versailles. There, he had the chance to get the best advice from the best perfume designers on the planet. This forged him an extraordinary experience and allowed him to obtain the prestigious price of the Technical Society of Perfumers of France, in 1984 and in 1985. From then on, he was recruited by Firmenich, a company that is one of the giants of perfumery and headquartered in Geneva. Nevertheless, he quickly left Switzerland and joined the International Fragrance Center of this company in 1987, in New York.
